The Eco Harvest Wood Company is a supplier of a unique selection of hardwood species. The mission statement is fundamentally encapsulated in our logo:
Responsible . . . Sustainable . . . Elegance.
Responsible . . . We endeavour to operate in a responsible fashion from the harvesting of the hard wood to the service of our clients.
The hardwood is reclaimed and has received certification by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) - "Controlled Wood and Forest Management." The devastation of Hurricane Felix provided an opportunity for the responsible harvest of unique hardwood species in an ecologically friendly manner. In this way, we view ourselves as Stewards of the Environment.
Additionally, the workers that are employed to salvage the timber are compensated fairly for their efforts, which contribute directly to their local economy.
Sustainable . . . The massive and destructive path of Hurricane Felix leveled tens of thousands of acres of beautiful hardwood forests. The salvage of this timber is the basis of our supply. The reforestation efforts by our company and our Nicaraguan partners have been recognized by the FSC to meet the stringent criteria of "Controlled Wood and Forest Management." This leads to the sustainability of our wood supply.
Elegance . . . The unique species we offer have exceptional colouration, grain and stability; this ensures a beautiful finished product.
